![]() One of the pair has an area of minor flaking, otherwise near excellent overall condition. Made in 1885. 2 Barrel in.41 Colt caliber. Very nice sharp gun with approximately 50 of the original blue mixed with a dark to plum patina. This is a very fine New Line (most saw a lot of use and abuse). Bore is excellent. The caliber and model etched on left side of barrel is perfect. Approximately 90 original nickel remains with some flaking on cylinder. This is an early gun with the tight curl grip and high hammer. Butler Derringer S Serial Range MostThis gun is in the same serial range most of these are found in, and has the A.M. Sterling mark on the barrel. Grips are. Bore is poor as are most early.22 caliber pistols as they shot corrosive ammunition and no one ever bothered to clean the bore. Manufactured 1882. Serial Number 14872. Barrel with ejector Bore is good with strong rifling. ![]() Good case colors remain. This gun has a smooth gray patina with light spots of pitting. Made in the 1870s 1880s. Original high luster blue.
